Kelly Clarkson cheers the return of States' Rights

It started with one little tweet:

Pop singer Kelly Clarkson wasn't expecting such a harsh response when she tweeted her endorsement in the Republican presidential race.

"I love Ron Paul," she wrote late last month. Later, in a radio interview, she elaborated, "He believes in states having their rights, and I think that that's very important."

Of course, the hyenas started cackling and growling over a term that drives the Empire and its parasites over the edge whenever they hear it. Too bad - they're going to just have to get used to it - and more.

Thanks to Peter for the heads up!

I don't know who Kelly Clarkson is but God bless her sweet and divine innocence.

She's a phenomenal songstress. Unfortunately, whenever someone in the entertainment field reveals that he or she believes in states rights, is not an atheist, or is anything other than an extreme leftist, the powers that be try to squash his or her career. I hope Ms. Clarkson will be OK.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it was only because of States' Rights that Northern states could have ended slavery in their own states. Northerners acting through their state legislatures passed laws that very gradually (in a process that could take decades) ended slavery there. It certainly wasn't federal legislation or action excepting Delaware. Isn't this what happened or am I just crazy? Of course those choices aren't mutually exclusive.
