Family of MLK's former secretary is sued by his estate
One thing you have to admit about MLK's heirs - they definitely keep their eyes on the prize. They have cashed in on their father's name and made millions on MLK's legacy. Thanks to MLK, the goodies flow to them like a mighty stream. That's why they're suing MLK's former secretary for papers worth a measly $75,000. Yes, these fat cats are bullying an 87-year-old lady. Can't let any droplets of that mighty stream flow in the wrong direction, you see. And this isn't the first time these insatiable moneygrubbers have sued to fatten their estate:
The suit is among the latest in a series of legal actions taken in the name of King’s estate. In 1987, Coretta Scott King sued Boston University for personal papers from her husband’s graduate school days. In 2008, Martin and Bernice King sued their brother, Dexter, accusing him of mismanaging the family corporation that controls King’s image and intellectual property. There have been other lawsuits and threats of suits. What a perfect symbol of the Civil Rights hustle.
