The decline of the West is NOT inevitable. It's caused by the ruling elite's self-serving and exploitative policies, which include endless war, empire, and open borders. The good news is that this decline can not only be stopped, but reversed. Here's how, from the Daily Bell.

Mr. Holland's item 12 particularly caught my eye: "Return Voting To An Earned Privilege Rather Than a Mob Right to Pillage". I would be interested in criteria that readers of this blog might recommend. Of course, in the political climate of the current regime, this would be absolutely impossible to achieve since mob rule by "democracy" is now in full force.
Right off the top of my head, I would deny suffrage to everyone who
derives the majority of his/her income from government payment in any form. I mean not only entitlements but also being on the public payroll AND I DO mean to include elected officials, cops, soldiers, government contractors, etc. Allowing people with a vested monetary interest in government to vote is the political equivalent of insider trading.
