Missouri Sheriffs Pledge To Not Enforce Obama’s Gun Control Laws
The Rebellion is spreading:
As President Barack Obama continues to push gun control proposals in Washington D.C., Sheriff Charles M. Heiss, R-Johnson County is asking fellow law enforcers to sign and send this letter to the president. The letter expresses concern with the Obama administration and the president’s gun control laws he laid out before Congress last week. In the letter Heiss tells the president that he has a duty to protect his constituents from incidents of crime, and has the responsibility to protect and preserve their rights and liberties. Newly elected Sheriff Michael Dixon, R-Osage County is one of about a dozen sheriffs in Missouri to have signed and sent Heiss’ letter. “On the same day the President is taking his oath to uphold the Constitution, he continues to attack our 2nd Amendment rights,” Dixon said. “As Osage County Sheriff, I also took an Oath to the Constitution; but unlike Obama, I intend to uphold mine.”Missouri, eh? I wonder if our friend Earl is behind this?

Here's another example of righteous, brave resistance:

Now *this* is speaking truth to power. May his bravery be contagious :)
It's good to know that, should the worst befall us, people like him will be on our side :)
Of course, Virginia's spineless law enforcement agency heads have not said a word. Could it be that they are tied in with the Feds? Of course they. Gov Robert "Bob" McDonnell, carpetbagger, has stated that he supports the UAV's flying all over VA. And some of the Northern VA law enforcement agency heads have come out in support of UAV's as well. Northern VA is solidly in the central gubmint camp. Deo Vindice.
I'm not behind it, but I'm beside them! Wish I lived in one of their counties so's I could sleep a little better. However, be assured that there are a LOT of still hushed-mouth sheriffs throughout the South and West that agree.
I was also very pleased to see Dr. Hill's recent mention of Missouri's state motto - Salus Populi Suprema Lex Esto (The welfare of the people shall be the supreme law). We're proud of that.
While we're on the topic, I DON'T like to see maps of Dixie that don't include Missouri and Kentucky, both of which were admitted to the Confederacy and sacrificed greatly to the Cause; there are 13 stars in the Battle Flag. In fact, only Virginia and Tennessee saw more battles than Missouri. Of course, most of our battles were a tad different... Keep that in mind, my Deep South brothers.

So why won't he arrest TSA workers when they touch innocent passengers in places on their body that would get everybody else thrown in prison?
Why aren't these folks as passionate about protecting the 4th amendment as they are the 2nd?

Heiss is sheriff of rural Johnson County, southeast of Kansas City. I doubt there even IS a commercial airport in his jurisdiction! Sheriffs are the law in their counties, but only there.
I am unaware of a sheriff in any urban or suburban county anywhere publicly standing up for our rights.

Does the sheriff also refuse to enforce other unconstitutional acts by the criminals in DC, such as drug laws?

Ding ding ding!
The hypocrisy of these sheriffs is revolting.
"I won't enforce THESE gun bans, but I will enforce the '34, '68, and '86 gun bans, and if you have a weapon without a conceal carry permit, its off to jail."
They are nothing more than collaborators.
Drug use, machine guns, and other issues aside, I'm keeping my practical eye on the gold ring here; namely, holding on to my modern musket, its STANDARD (NOT 'HIGH') capacity magazines, and the availability of the ammo to run it. - Dutchy
