What 'Displacement of Southerners' ?
In response to the League of the South's protests against DC-sponsored Third-World colonization, the oh-so-cute leftists at Wonkette gleefully sneered at the very notion:
The League is going to protest against something they’re calling “Southern Demographic Displacement,” which involves this dandy little conspiracy theory: the two big wars started by the Bush Administration (and the little civil war that Obama dropped some bombs onto) were really just part of a larger plot by the Federal Gummint to destroy White Southern Culture...That's right, we're just imagining that whites will be a minority by 2043. Displacement? Why, it could never happen. Except that it is. The Chamber of Commerce, globalist corporations, and wealthy CEOs just love the idea of a floodtide of cheap, exploitable labor. Some leftists have noticed that exploitation, not love of diversity, is what motivates the fat cats who're pumping millions into pro-amnesty groups, but most remain blind to the facts. This report from VDare on the latest job numbers shows that the Chamber of Commerce is getting exactly what it wants:
Our analysis of the “other” employment report—of households rather than businesses—shows how desperate the situation has already become for native-born American workers. In September: •Total employment rose by 133,000, or by 0.1% •Native-born American employment fell by 73,000, or by -0.1% •Foreign-born employment rose by 206,000, or by 0.9% September was the second successive month in which native-born American workers actually held fewer jobs in absolute terms, while foreign-born workers enjoyed robust job growth. The term "conspiracy theory" is a dismissive term for an often convoluted tale purporting to reveal a secret plot when there is NO EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT IT other than the assertions of those spreading the theory. Think Al Sharpton and the rape of Tawana Brawley by eeevil white racists. Or Morris Dees and the black churches that "were certainly burned by racists" in the mid-1990s. The displacement of Southerners, on the other hand, is happening before our eyes and confirmed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. But then, maybe they're neo-Confederate, too...
